Welcome to year 2012.Truly it is the Lords doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. Thanks be to God for such a wonderful privilege to be alive especially at this period of existence in this place where we found ourselves.
During the beginning of each New Year we are all filled with excitement and good hope, believing with all our heart that everything is going to be well in almost every area of our lives. Such expectations are very okay and commendable. Due to this belief system most of us then rush into the New Year with very little or no adequate preparation.
For us to rightly achieve our desired goal in each of the major areas of our lives, be it spiritual or material, we must not skip the discipline of adequate and right preparation.
One of the major areas where we need sufficient preparations is in the area of our skill. Remember that whatever profession or occupation you are in today, someone else can do that job or service even better in your absence. What distinguishes individuals in the same field is their level of expertise (i.e. in-depth knowledge or skill) in that particular field.
In the four Ps of marketing ; place, price product and promotion, i am strongly convinced that adequate skill still plays a major role in determining the overall success of an individual in a given field or occupation.
Before you settle for that job you wish to embark on this New Year it will be proper for you to examine your skill. Are you having a plan of switching over to another profession, check your skill before you start. Perhaps it may be that you need to go back either to school, a training center or whatever outfit that will impact the necessary skill to you.
Even when you are on the job remember that you are still learning and the earlier you appreciate that the better. The day you stop learning is the day you starts decaying.
Whatever job, business or service you want to engage yourself into this New Year acquire quality knowledge or skill in it. This will certainly place you higher among your competitors.
See you at the top.
